Designing a blockchain network hub from zero

outbe is a new blockchain network. The hub is its public face — where anyone can watch the network’s status, health and growth, which on a young chain is the evidence that the thing works and can be trusted at all. It is built for the people who read that evidence closely: holders, validators, traders, and the early adopters who want to understand how the network actually behaves.

I was the sole product designer, on contract, in a small team alongside a developer, a product owner, a project manager and the founders. I did all of it — structure, interaction, interface, and the design system, which did not exist when I started. The timeline was short and the subject is not one you can design from the outside: most of the work was understanding the domain well enough to decide what a block, a validator or an emission curve should look like to someone scanning it quickly.

The screens below are from the design. I finished it and my involvement ended there, so I can’t tell you what launched or how it performed — this page is the work, not a result. What it shows is the part I can vouch for: a product designed end to end, from nothing, in an unfamiliar and unusually dense domain, at speed.
